THE CREATION:
This song was birthed in a place of grief. I allowed myself to crack open & the spirit of the song wrote itself. It’s a reminder that as we stand in front of the ocean & the mountains, we get a sense of how small we are. It makes you feel humble. It connects you to your ancestors. At the same time, you can tap into the collective energy that is connected all over the world. Hearing the guidance of protecting our mother (papatuanuku), the vulnerable & the children.
In amongst all this, it brings forth how much we’ve forgotten who we are. It brings forth the disconnection to ourselves, therefore the disconnection to everyone & everything around us.
This song is about remembering who we are. We all have our inner wars, and we all have things that we stand for. The highest, most powerful and the only true way to conquer it all, is love.
THE PROCESS:
This song has been anchored from the top of the north island, to the bottom of the south. It's been sang/chanted in the hearts of many people across Aotearoa. It’s been activated within these hearts, within these communities and anchored into the whenua.
THE REALISATION:
This song is part of the $7000 project you all helped me raise the funds for! It’s been a long journey to get it into a frequency that people can access. This is a special edition release of Warrior of love.
Co-created by the same sound engineers & producers that worked on Hands Off Our Children. So many prayers, layers and love have been put into this work, alongside a commitment of sticking to the kaupapa.
